Been on the L180 High Lift for a couple seasons now, mostly handling timber at the yard. The new boom design makes stacking logs higher pretty manageable, especially when space is tight-saved us from running outta room more than once. Cab feels bigger than what I was used to, a lot less noise and way better visibility. Joystick controls are easy to pick up. Maybe too many gadgets at first, but you settle in quick.

Full auto trans is cool but sometimes picks a weird gear if you push it, but not a dealbreaker. Haven't had any serious downtime, but regular checks are a must 'cause there are plenty of moving parts. Noticed fuel use is steady, even pulling heavy shifts. Suspension on the boom takes out most of the shocks. Could do with simpler menus for the settings though. Overall, does what I need, just wish tech was a bit less fiddly sometimes.

I've put close to 250 hours on the new L90, mostly hauling feed and moving silage. The joystick takes a little getting used to, but once you're dialed in it's way smoother for tight spaces. I get why some old timers miss the traditional controls, though. Cab is easy to live with for long shifts, seat's one of the most comfortable I've had, especially in winter when you can crank the heat up. Vision's solid. Only real pain has been the awkward spot for filling up DEF and diesel, you gotta mess with the bonnet every time and it just slows you down. Fuel use seems a bit better compared to the old one, and it's definitely quicker on the road, but maybe not as quick as some JCBs I've used. Maintenance seems straightforward enough so far.

Used this machine on a construction site recently. The added reach of the long boom configuration came in handy for efficiently loading high-sided trucks. Though, I found it a little tricky getting used to the larger tires when maneuvering in tighter spaces. Load balancing was impressive, especially with the spade nose bucket in winter conditions.

I've used the Volvo L180 High Lift during some forestry operations, and I have to say, the lifting mechanism is impressive. It allowed for high stacking of logs with great precision. However, the control joystick took me a while to get accustomed to. The design does offer excellent visibility all around which I appreciate when maneuvering in tight areas.

The Volvo L180 was my go-to for transferring logs last season. Its engine provided reliable performance with quiet operation. I found the cab to be spacious and comfortable, but the interface could be slightly more intuitive for quicker adaptability. Overall, a very reliable machine.
