Ran the E26 for a couple days at a landscaping site. It's light, easy to get onto a smaller trailer, but don't expect loads of muscle either. I liked that it's not too complicated-jump in and you're good to go, none of that annoying computer stuff that's starting to show up everywhere now. Foot pedals are a bit cramped, I'm not a fan but it's nothing I can't put up with. No leaks or breakdowns so reliability gets a pass. Not sure about long-term service, didn't get into that. I did like the visibility, just wish that seat moved back a little more. Works for digging around fences and tight spots.

I’ve had the E26 in tight spots, and it does get the job done. I’ve had some time using the Bobcat E26 and, overall, it’s a solid piece of equipment. The digging capabilities are reliable; that 9-foot-plus depth is a definite plus. The hydraulic flow is sufficient for most attachments I've tried, though in heavy-use situations, it could feel a touch underpowered. The cab, especially with the HVAC option, adds comfort during longer hours, but accessing controls feels slightly cramped at times. Maintenance access is fairly straightforward. Pricing seems fair for what you get. If you’re in the market for this class of mini excavator, it’s worth considering.

I had the opportunity recently to operate the Bobcat E26 compact excavator. Its operational simplicity stood out to me, making it well-suited for operators new to construction equipment. The seating area provides considerable comfort, even during extended sessions. Additionally, its bright and functional work lights enable clear visibility during nighttime tasks. I’ve worked with the Bobcat E26 on a few projects. It’s pretty simple to handle, which is nice. The cab design is alright, though I found the seat adjustment could offer more flexibility. So I've used E26 on sites where ground's pretty rough. One thing I'll say-Bobcat's got their engines sorted, the Kubota in this actually sips fuel, usually 3 to 4 liters an hour for me which is chill, don't break the bank. Feels sturdy, nothing really shakes loose, but the hydraulics sometimes feel like they're lagging if you try to do two things at once. Haven't done any big repairs, just changed a hose and tires. It's not the most comfortable cab, but it keeps the dirt out. I'd love a better joystick setup like on the bigger 590s, but for what it costs, can't expect too much. Handles well enough for my operators, even the newbies can figure it out quick enough.

Tried out the Bobcat E26 on a medium-sized landscaping project. The machine's power performance surprised me when it handled compacted soil without much strain.
